Hi Friends...

This blog is actually to show all the 3D works that I've done during my degree study and work as Interior Designer..Maybe all the drawings in my blog that you will see or you have seen are quit simple but for me its really meaningful because I'm the one who did it... To be a designer is not easy if we don't have patient in ourselves...

Project: Proposed Double Storey Detached House (2009)

For this project, I have to do 3D perspective for a double storey detached house. This is actually my first project doing exterior for a house. The client and the owner of this house is Mr. Liew Nam Boon, and he is also the founder of NBL Architects Sdn Bhd company in Kuching, Sarawak.

Further more, for your information, this is actually my first time doing 3D by Auto CAD. I took almost one week to finish this project because I have to learn how to use the Auto CAD 3D.

I really really want to thanks Mr. Claudius for teach me how to use the Auto CAD 3D. Thanks Claud... =)

On your left, you can see the 3D I did by Auto CAD. Seriously, build the 3D structure using Auto CAD is more easier than 3D Max. You must try...

After I finished build the whole  structure of  this house, I transferred to 3D Max and rendered using V-ray. Below I show you the rendering I did in 3D Max 9.

I have tried rendered so many views of this house and here I show some of them. I just rendered the house building without the landscape because I don't want to make the rendering heavy. To finished this perspective view, I add the landscape using Adobe Photoshop.

At last! These are the final views of this house design...even though I'm not the designer of this house but I'm really proud that I could finished doing this 3D using Auto CAD for the first time...I know it's look simple but I really really like it...

Project: Design the Mihrab area for Masjid Niah (2009)

The architect and designer for Masjid Niah is NBL Architects Sdn Bhd. For this project, I have to design the mihrab area for this mosque. Before my boss proceed the final one, I have showed him about 4 proposals but he rejected them all. After he rejected so many proposals, we did a long meeting with all the senior designers to discuss about the design for this mihrab.

Here I just show you some of the proposal I did and the final design that client proceed. I did all  of these views not more than 1 hour using 3D Max because my boss wanted to see  them on that day too. I just did what I can and these are the result. For that time I don't have any idea to design the mihrab area and I just design follow what style the client wants.

Below shows the final design for Masjid Niah mihrab area. Before submit this final design, I have to proposed the same design with different of colors. I designed the whole mihrab using 3D Max 9 and edit for the color using Photoshop.

On December 2009, two months after that, i did go to the site to do research for my final degree thesis. I quit happy because of the design I did has been applied to this mosque even though the contractor has changed a little bit from the proposed design.

Project: Renovation for the Interior of Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, DBP (2009)

This Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) is stated in Kuching, the capital city of Sarawak. For this project, I have to renovate the interior of some area in DBP; VIP Dining Room, VIP Room and Prayer Room for male and female.

Actually one of my office members has designed the interior but it was rejected because of some reason. So my boss wanted me to redesign the interior and he wanted it to finish them on the next day because he has to present them in front of the client.
It's quit rushing to do this project because I have to do from the early stages that is built up the building structure of all the areas in 3D Max. But anyway I can finished them the night before submitted because I don't use too much lighting in my design and for me it's really simple interior.

The perspective drawing on your left shows the VIP Dining Room before I edit and redesign like you can see below.

The client wants the VIP Room looks contemporary and follow the concept that has been using for DBP (Contemporary Concept).

This room is quit narrow and small so I have to choose the color, lighting and furniture that can make it looks bigger than before.

Here is actually the 3D that I render in 3D Max. For this view, I did 100% 3D Max because I don't have much time to edit anything.

This is the final view for the VIP Dining Room after rendered by 3D Max V-ray 9 without Photoshop editing. I wish to do it better but this the only I could do. Time is money babe... ('',)

Here I show you my second interior design, VIP Room. I used the same color and material for this room to make it related to the VIP Room concept.

The perspective on your left shows the VIP Room before I redesign the interior. The client wants it to be changed because of the colors and furniture chooses are too dull and look like vintage style.

Before that, here I show you the 3D Max that I did for this view.

As you can see, below is the perspective drawing after I redesign the interior of this VIP Room. It's look better and I used the modern contemporary for its concept.

The last 3D I did is Muslim Prayer Room. For this 3D, I just render the interior without the screen divider to divide male and female areas. The screen actually has been done by someone else and I just edit it using the Photoshop.

Below shows the prayer room I edited by Photoshop.

Finally, this is the final view after edited.

Project: Ma'had Tahfiz Tun Abdul Rahman Ya'kub (2009)

Ma'had Tahfiz Tun Abdul Rahman Ya'kub is the biggest Ma'had in Malaysia. It is stated in Kuching, Sarawak. The designer of this Ma'had Tahfiz is Tuan Haji Azrai Karim, the Managing Director of NBL Architects Sdn. Bhd. company. The concept of this Ma'had Tahfiz, follow the style of 4 Dynasties of Islam during Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.); those are the Ummayyad, the Abasids, the Fatimids, and the Ottomans.
For this project, I have to do the 3D of this Tahfiz for its courtyard and the interior landscape at the ground floor. Below I show how I did the 3D using 3D Max 9 and, 3D after rendered and also 3D after edited by Photoshop.

The 3D perspective on your left shows the view after I rendered using 3D Max V-ray 9. It takes almost one an hour to render this view because it has too much lighting and water effect.

To make the rendering time shorter, I have to render the simple view of the building and edit the extras using Photoshop. So, below you can see the final view after edited.

Below shows the second area for this 3D making, that is interior landscape. Before that, I forgot to tell you that this building structure actually was built up by Mr. Claudius, one of my friends in that office, using Auto CAD 3D. He past and asked me to continue doing these 3Ds, then I have to transfer it to 3D Max because at that time I don't know how to use Auto CAD 3D (but now I know).

Here you can see how I did the 3D and rendering, same like I did the Tahfiz courtyard before using the 3D Max 9 software.

The 3D perspective on your left shows the view after I rendered using 3D Max V-ray 9. Then below shows the final view after edited by Photoshop.

Project: Proposed Stall Design for University Malaysia Sarawak, UNIMAS

This stall was designed for UNIMAS, one of the universities in Sarawak. This is just a simple design and I did it not more than one hour. Actually this is the project given by my dad. He's the one who presented this drawing to the client.

Project: Proposed Interior Design of Meeting Room (2009)

This is the meeting room that was designed with contemporary concept. The client wants me to design the furniture using timber material and the colors for the finishes also follow the timber tones colors.
The first drawing shows when all the sliding doors close at left and right sides. Then the second drawing shows when the sliding doors opened and we can see a fix glass at the right side and window at the left side.

For those who wants to use day light, they just can open the sliding doors. This can save more energy of electricity during day time.
After I showed all the drawings to the client, he wanted me to put the personal computer (PC) at each area that have sittings. Below shows the rendered drawing after I add all the PC's.
